QuickTime X is not QuickTime Pro

Quicktime LogoDespite the numerous rumors (here, here, here, and here) about Snow Leopard shipping with a version of QuickTime that included the Pro features, I can sadly say, it does not. Not even close.  The power of the Pro features was the ability export video with fine-grained control.

Luckily, the Optional Installs contains QuickTime 7.  You still need the Pro key to enable the Pro features.
